Air Traffic Controllers ensure the safe and efficient movement of aircrafts in controlled airspace and aerodromes by directing aircraft movements.

Day to day tasks

  • issuing landing and takeoff instructions to pilots
  • monitoring the movement of aircrafts on the ground and in the air with radars, computers, and visual references
  • controlling ground traffic at airports, including baggage vehicles and airport workers
